When I love, I love all the way, to the best of my ability: completely, and naturally. To fall in love, to be in love, to love, and to be loved, is the greatest thing in the world. That's a fantastic start! I love nature and enjoy creation in all its forms:-) I am looking for someone special who is reasonably active and likes the outdoors, enjoys quiet times, and does not take life too seriously (at least not all the time). I can think deeply and have a wonderful and often times twisted sense of humor. I love to laugh. I see myself as an equal partner in a committed relationship: an encourager,supportive and loyal companion,friend,lover,and travel guide, through this exciting maze of life.I am a retired (that means that I have earned my pension and medical) Army officer (Major) and have in recent years served as a civilian in trauma centers, hospitals, and hospices. I currently work part time as a chaplain for a major hospice provider in Hillsborough County. As a liberal free-thinking minister, I am delightfully non-stereotypical. Really, I'm not very religious and am just a well grounded and realistic guy! At this point in my life, since I work part-time and no longer feel the need to kill myself chasing the American dream, I can devote more of my time and energy to nurturing my partner and relationship. I am quite talented in all rooms of the home and am really good with my hands:-). I am just a regular guy and a good guy, with an good track record (20 and 15 year relationships), looking for that final elusive long term committed relationship. But I understand just how difficult I can be for two people to meet and click. And when it happens it is truly special and magical.
I am looking for a witty and reasonably refined lady not afraid of adventures. We must be active, but also savor the quiet renewing moments. I like to touch and be touched! I am very passionate. I like to engage in silly as well as significant conversations. I am caring and loving. I am adaptable and easy to please. I am a deep feeler as well as a profound and creative thinker. I admire and appreciate culture and the Arts. I am a musician and like to play guitar and sing. I operate a home based recording studio, which generates some income but primarily provides an outlet for my creative side, and helps provide for good mental health! I sometimes wear the "Life is Good" brand of clothing and try to live my life by that sentiment. I feel like I have lived enough for two lifetimes. Bring on the third! I like to golf and play tennis (non competitively),swim, walk, bike, listen to, create, and perform music. I prefer intimate more quiet settings rather than all noise all the time.Concerts are nice. I love to travel. and enjoy comedy. I am a retired military chaplain and presently work part time for a major Tampa Bay health care provider. So I am gearing down and semi retired, but gearing up and ready to share in life's next great adventure with a compatible partner.I don't care for extreme ideologies. I was raised Catholic, and have been a Protestant for my adult years. I am progressive, fairly open, spiritual, but not overtly religious or dogmatic. If you are "religious" then I am probably not the guy for you.
